Where have I been?

Wow - it's been awhile. That damn facebook seems to take precidence when I'm on the computer. I thought it was the same with everyone until I check out other blogs. Needless to say I feel a bit obligated to update ours:) I'm hoping the new look will keep me motivated....

So on with life -

Noah is growing like a crazy weed. I'm sure he's gotta be 15lbs. He is super long and the sleeves on most of his shirts are 3/4 length instead of full sleeves. He has got to be the smiliest baby EVER. He will smile and coo for anyone who stops to say Hi! He is sleeping through the night already which is REALLY nice (knock on wood) and of course, loves music:) His favorite thing in the world so far is.......His big sister!!!!!

Jayda is doing awesome. She is finally walking - and walking, and walking, and walking all day every day. She also has tons of words, some of which are pretty amazing. She said Lasagna the other day! Most of the time when she is talking a mile a minute we can make out a few words in each sentence and figure out what she is saying. One of her favorite words is skull. She can spot a skull from a mile away and gets excited. She is soooo much like her daddy:) Her and Noah get along great. They are the two cutest kids ever. Jayda loves to give Noah hugs and kisses and Noah smiles at Jayda whenever she is within his line of sight.

Steve and I are also doing super. The shop has been doing good, although it's been pretty slow this past month. We are slowly getting ready for our wedding which is actually only 6 months away - eeekk. It's comming so fast and we still have lots to do!!!!! I'm really excited:) Other than that it's just been livin' each day as it comes. With the two kids each day is different and more exciting than the day before. I love life:)

Stay tuned for some pics and more updates.......

And baby makes four:)

I am extatic to announce the birth of our newest little addition - Noah Jackson Winjet. He was born September 6th at 5:50pm. He weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 4oz and 21inches long. Now I know why I couldn't barely walk the last month of pregancy:) Of course he is absolutely gorgeous and in perfect health. He is a spitting image of his daddy! The delivery went VERY fast and pretty easy. Steve and I went to a noon meeting and I started having contractions. After the meeting I told him to go to work and I would call him when the contractions were closer and more intense. Needless to say 20 minutes later he was back home and we were off to the hospital. By the time we found parking and made our way to the womens center to check in I was 6cm dialted and contractions were 3 minutes apart. They rushed for me to get an epidural, we had a small calm moment or two then three pushes later we were blessed with our handsom new son! So, less then 24 hours after going into labor we were sitting on our couch at home - our new family of four - yes any mothers out there reading this you can curse at me any time:).........

Jayda is taking it all really well. She is an awesome big sister! She's actually kinda bored by Noah already 'cause of course all he does is eats and sleeps - AND POOPS!!!! She does love hime though. She gives him a little pat when she wonders by him and kisses when she can get close enough. She has been an absolute angel!

A special thanks goes out to Auntie Bean for being on call and babysitting Jayda while I was in labor. We sure love you:) Also to Mom for being here to help before, during and after. We couldn't do it without you:) And a little shout out to the best daddy in the world and most amazing partner anyone could ever ask for - luv u Steve xoxo

As soon as we get settled in a bit we would love to hear from all our friends and family and we will be proud to show off our new handsom little fella!

Jayda's update

We had Jayda's 1 year check-up the other day so I figured you'd all be interested to know what the Doc said. Jayda is now 21 lbs and 31 1/2 inches long. Her progress is still on a steady steam. 50th % for her weight and 75th % for her height. After the check-up the Doc said (surprise, surprise) she is PERFECT. I could have told her that myself:)

Besides being perfectly healthy Jayda is also doing great in every other area. She now crawls on all fours instead of slithering along on her tummy (thank God). We have Sara-Lyn to thank for that:) "thanks Sara"! She also pulls herself up to furniture, throws a ball, meows like a cat, and (my least favorite thing) knows how to say the word "NO". It is sorta cute but when I say NO to her and she looks back and says NO to me - Not so cute anymore. She has lots of English words and also jabbers a million miles a minute in "Chinese". At least that is what it sounds like:)

Well, I guess that is it for my little girl. She is still an awesome baby, cuter than ever and melts my heart a bit more every day.

News, news, news....

Today was a very big day for us. First and foremost we bought a new vehicle. Yes I know our Focus was less than 1 year old but 2 kids + 2 adults = car too small! So we went on the hunt for something a little more practicle. We ended up buying a 2003 Ford Escape. It is a little bit smaller than an Explorer but bigger than our Focus. It also has 4x4 which is pretty handy since we live in snow country.

In other news.........WARNING if you do not want to know the sex of our next baby DO NOT continue reading.....

We are having a little Boy!!!!! YEAH:) We are totally excited. We were not going to find out but temptation got the better of us. At least now we can say to Jayda - you are gonna have a baby brother, rather than calling the poor thing an IT. The ultrasound tech said everything looked really good and she also said she can pretty much assure me that he WILL NOT be a 10lb baby. Very good news to get. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a big baby just as much as a smaller baby but I think my body will appreciate small rather than big.

Well, that's our news for the day. I'm completely pooped from a busy day and I'm in need of some down time. Enjoy the pics.

We have a heart beat!

We went to see Dr.Jiwa (our O.B.) the other day. It was great. We got to hear the heart beat for the first time. It was 163 beats per minute. Dr.Jiwa said everything looks really good and I'm "growing nicely". I still don't really have a guess to whether it will be a girl or boy. Steve thinks boy because I've been eating eggs and red meat - not something I'm usually to keen on. WHO KNOWS:)..... We have an ultrasound booked for Wednesday. That should be super fun 'cause we will be able to get some pictures of our new little sprout!

In other news......I bought my wedding dress!!! I tried it on for the first time a month or so ago and really liked it. For whatever reason I decided not to get it and keep looking. Well, last weekend Doreen and I went to ABC Weddings and I tried it on again and could not leave the store this time without buying it. It was 1/2 price - WHOOOHOO. AND it is the last one like it that will ever be made! So my decision was made and I bought it. We have also booked the hall (in Edson), and the caterer. I've been researching photographers on the internet and I've narrowed it down to half a dozen that I want to contact and talk to. If we are paying $2000 for someone to take pictures at our wedding they better take DAMN good pictures:)

So I guess that is it from the home front. Hope everyone else in the world is doing well and enjoyed my little update!
